To follow my imagination. When we imagine the world differently we must pursue ways to create what we see. Sometimes that means working towards goals that others don’t believe are achievable, and yet we must still work toward what we see.

I don’t think I was ever thinking about a legacy exactly, but in all the things I’ve done, I’ve tried to create work that would set precedents and be truly sustainable and to ensure that others would come behind me and keep the work moving forward. I see that happening now and it fills me with gratitude for all of the leaders around the country doing this important work. I’m honored to have played my part.
