As Chief of Staff at the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), Sabrina Kent supports the efforts of NGLCC’s Executive Leadership and Board of Directors in advocating for the economic empowerment of LGBT-owned businesses both within the U.S. and globally. Her work focuses on strategic projects across the organization, and she leads the NGLCC Internship Program. Sabrina serves as a member of the NGLCC Global Team with a particular focus on the division’s growing work in India and the Trans Task Force. She is a dynamic powerhouse of fresh ideas and organizational leadership. She is also an accomplished journalist and passionate community advocate.

Sabrina received her BA in Philosophy and Sexuality, Women’s & Gender Studies from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, in 2015 where her interest in LGBT advocacy work collided with her campus leadership involvement and courses of study. She was named the 2014 Sojourner Truth Awardee for Combined Academic and Activist work by the Rollins College Sexuality, Women’s & Gender Studies Executive Committee.

At Rollins, Sabrina served as Editor-in-Chief of The Independent magazine, a 2015 Columbia Press Association Gold Crown Award recipient, and was active on the leadership board for the student-run LGBTQ Alliance, Spectrum. She was instrumental in bringing gender-inclusive bathrooms to the campus, as well as in reinventing the school’s Day of Silence program, involving community partners including the Zebra Coalition for LGBT Homeless Youth and the Metropolitan Business Association (MBA) Orlando, to name a few. Additionally, Sabrina served as a member of Rollins College’s Diversity Advisory Council (DAC), which oversaw diversity and inclusion initiatives for the school and advised the Rollins College President on these matters.

Sabrina writes for a local DC publication Brightest Young Things in their LGBT division.
