40 LGBTQ Leaders Under 40 Class of 2023

By BEQ Pride Awards Committee and the BEQ Pride Editorial team

On behalf of our BEQ Pride Editorial team and the Awards Committee, we proudly announce the sixth annual BEQ Pride list of LGBTQ Leaders Under 40. The Class of 2023 adds 20 new leaders to our distinguished group of 208 young leaders from North America.

Our task each year is to identify young LGBTQ+/SGL leaders who unequivocally stand up and out in their truth and demonstrate exceptional leadership in government, corporate, academia, non-profit and small business. Each honoree has taken bold steps toward equitable futures for themselves and others. BEQ Pride LGBTQ+ Class of 2023 Leaders are fully living in the moment, lovingly investing in the community, with their hearts aligned with a better tomorrow. Our BEQ team is paying a debt of gratitude by investing our resources, platforms and connections to showcase their genius and commitment to society.

Our 6th cohort includes elected officials, educators, business owners, activists, executives, investors, lawyers, writers, creatives, a labor union president and more. Each finalist shares who or what inspires their leadership purpose and why.

Their responses express a profound desire to lift the marginalized, the underserved, the overlooked, and the underrepresented. Their collective talent, skills, passion and innovative thinking are required to create a more equal and just world. Looking at this cohort, we see reasons to be hopeful about the future.

Their responses and pictures are presented on the following pages and brief biographies will be posted at businessequalitymagazine.com in the coming days. Stay tuned for follow-up interviews, opportunities to engage their brilliance and the chance to support their causes throughout 2023.

We are energized by and committed to the future of the LGBTQ+ business equality community. As you peruse the list and become acquainted with these leaders, we encourage you to think of ways to support them. If we can facilitate a connection, we will. Let us know your thoughts!
