What do you believe is your responsibility to this moment in history?

As a member of the board of directors at GLAAD, I consider my primary responsibility to uplift the voices and stories of marginalized LGBTQ people around the world. I believe the responsibility we share as a human race is to protect and safeguard our planet from impending destruction due to climate change. In that regard, I work at the World Economic Forum with the private sector to facilitate a green energy transition, by leveraging our First Movers Coalition. Finally, I also feel responsible for closing the inequity in our society and creating pathways for economic mobility for people of color.

With 15 years of business-to-business sales experience and an inherent aptitude for marketing, he is an expert in forging mutually advantageous public/private partnerships while delivering tangible results as a collaborative change agent. As a business development executive and strategist with a truly global perspective, Shameek’s tenure at the World Economic Forum has been devoted to helping businesses scale while making a positive impact on our world. As a board member of GLAAD, he advocates for LGBT equality on a daily basis, bringing together different interests of the community on their national platform.

Shameek is passionate about applying a mindful approach to driving organizational growth by developing sustainable, creative and innovative business models. Through his frequent travels to the far corners of our planet, he has an unprecedented ability to spot trends and create disruptive models. These models allow his clients to flourish and compete locally while maintaining a global perspective. In addition, he has forged several multi-million dollar partnerships, secured private investments and advised the C-suites of startups to Fortune 500 companies across North America, Asia & Europe.
