Advice:

Do what you enjoy and have a passion for.

(Editor’s Note: The following narrative is in Matt’s own words.)

When the Internet first came along, I created an LGBTQ website that became one of the largest worldwide. Being in the right place at the right time gave me the opportunity to channel my love for technology alongside my love for connecting technology with people. Back then, there was no Google or Yahoo, no Amazon or Facebook, so we had to create everything on our own, including online retailing, personal profiles with membership matchmaking and more.  There was no road map as to how to do these things, so we made it up as we went along. Fast forward to today and everything is different… we’re just happy we were able to play a part in the evolution of LGBTQ online media from how it first started to where it’s at today, with social media and our human interactions and connections playing such an important role in 2019.
